JLT Insurance Brokers Ireland Limited trading as JLT Ireland (formerly Jardine Lloyd Thompson Ireland Limited) has been providing Professional Indemnity cover to Solicitors for over 20 years in Ireland. We have a staff of approximately 100 people.
Additionally we are part of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group plc, the largest European controlled Broker with over 3,500 staff.

Team
The JLT professional team has extensive experience gathered through the years whilst advising larger and smaller practices. Our Managing Director, Pat Howett, has been the Assigned Risk Pool Manager for many years and in that capacity he sits at the Professional Indemnity Insurance Committee of the Law Society. JLT Ireland has organised in conjunction with it's London Broker the reinsurance of the SMDF for many years.
We have an experienced team in both our Dublin and Cork offices.

In Ireland we have been placing and advising firms on Professional Indemnity Insurance, both Primary and Top Up cover, for many firms for the last twenty years ranging from single practitioners to partnerships of varying size.

There is extensive Solicitor Professional Indemnity expertise within the Group. We place Master Policy cover for the Malaysian Bar. We are an Adviser to most of the top Norwegian legal firms and the British Columbia Law Society. We have a strong professional team in London and deal with a significant number of Solicitors in England and Wales.

The financial strength of your Insurer is paramount. You buy your insurance so that in the event of a claim you know that your Insurer will meet the claim. It can take many years for a claim to settle and accordingly you need an Insurer of sufficient financial strength so that you can be secure in the knowledge that the Insurer will be solvent when a claim becomes payable.
